The secretary of the Navy and chief of naval operations announced today the following assignments:

Rear Adm. Alvin Holsey will be assigned as commander, Navy Personnel Command; and deputy chief of naval personnel, Millington, Tennessee.  Holsey is currently serving as special assistant to commander, Naval Air Forces/commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, with additional duty as director, Task Force One Navy, Washington, D.C.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Richard J. Cheeseman Jr. will be assigned as commander, Carrier Strike Group Ten, Norfolk, Virginia.  Cheeseman is currently serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group Two, Norfolk, Virginia. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Brendan R. McLane will be assigned as commander, Navy Warfare Development Command, Norfolk, Virginia.  McLane is currently serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group Ten, Norfolk, Virginia.

Rear Adm. Alan D. Beal will be assigned as reserve director, Expeditionary Force Generation with additional duties as reserve vice commander, United States Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia.  Beal is currently serving as reserve director, Expeditionary Force Generation, Norfolk, Virginia.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Scott K. Fuller will be assigned as director, Reserve Warfare, N0959, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, District of Columbia.  Fuller is currently serving as reserve deputy director, Warfare Systems Directorate, N9R, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, District of Columbia. 

Navy Capt. William L. Angermann, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as reserve deputy commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia.  Angermann is currently serving as reserve component commander, Naval Aviation Training Reserve Component, Corpus Christi, Texas.

Navy Capt. Stephen D. Donald, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as reserve deputy commander, Tenth Fleet, Fort Meade, Maryland.  Donald previously served as officer in charge, Over-the-Horizon Qatar, United States Forces-Afghanistan, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

Navy Capt. Terry W. Eddinger, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy chief of chaplains for Total Force/deputy director of Religious Ministries, N097C, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, District of Columbia.  Eddinger is currently serving as chaplain, Navy Reserve Navy Installations Command Headquarters, Washington, District of Columbia.

Navy Capt. Gregory K. Emery, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy director, Warfare Integration Directorate, N2/N6, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, District of Columbia.  Emery is currently serving as region commander, Naval Information Force Reserve, Fort Worth, Texas.

Navy Capt. Patrick S. Hayden, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy director, Logistics, Fleet Supply, and Ordnance (N4), United States Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  Hayden is currently serving as reserve deputy director, Navy Reserve Commander, Pacific Fleet Logistics Readiness Center 120 Headquarters, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Navy Capt. Marc S. Lederer, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy commander, Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Virginia.  Lederer is currently serving as commander, Navy Reserve Liaison Office Individual Mobilization Augment Headquarters, Washington, District of Columbia.

Navy Capt. Eric L. Peterson, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy commander, Naval Medical Forces Atlantic, Portsmouth, Virginia.  Peterson is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, Navy Reserve Expeditionary Medicine, Bethesda, Maryland.

Navy Capt. Donald M. Plummer, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy commander, Naval Special Warfare Command, Coronado, California.  Plummer previously served as chief of staff, Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, Djibouti, Africa.

Navy Capt. Donald Y. Sze, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy commander, Navy Support Command Reserve Component/Marine Corps medical officer, Bethesda, Maryland.  Sze is currently serving as fleet surgeon, Navy Reserve Commander Third Fleet Headquarters, San Diego, California.

Navy Capt. Jeffrey S. Spivey, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as director, Maritime Partnership Program United States Naval Forces Europe/Africa/Sixth Fleet, Naples, Italy.  Spivey is currently serving as interagency coordinator/staff liaison, United States Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Douglas W. Small, selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as commander, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, California. Small is currently serving as program executive officer for integrated warfare systems, Washington, D.C.

Rear Adm. (lower half) William E. Chase III will be assigned as senior military advisor for cyber policy to the under secretary of defense for policy, and deputy principal cyber advisor to the secretary of defense, Washington, D.C. Chase is currently serving as deputy director, command, control, communications, and computers/cyber, J-6, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Leonard C. Dollaga will be assigned as commander, Submarine Group Seven; commander, Task Force Seven Four; and commander, Task Force Five Four, Yokosuka, Japan. Dollaga previously served as commander, Undersea Warfighting Development Center, Groton, Connecticut.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Thomas M. Henderschedt is assigned as senior defense official/defense attaché, China. Henderschedt previously served as naval attaché, U.S. Defense Attaché Office, Beijing, China. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Nicholas M. Homan will be assigned as director of intelligence, J-2, U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Homan previously served as deputy, deputy chief of staff, intelligence, Resolute Support; and deputy director, J2, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, Kabul, Afghanistan. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Matthew N. Ott III will be assigned as executive director, operational contract support, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, Washington, D.C. Ott is currently serving as special assistant for audit readiness, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management and Comptroller), Washington, D.C. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) William P. Pennington will be assigned as commander, Task Force Seven Zero; and commander, Carrier Strike Group Five, Yokosuka, Japan. Pennington previously served as special assistant to the deputy chief of naval operations for operations, plans and strategy, N3/N5, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Jeffrey S. Scheidt will be assigned as deputy chief, computer network operations, National Security Agency, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, Washington, D.C. Scheidt is currently serving as commander, Naval Information Warfighting Development Center, Norfolk, Virginia. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Philip W. Yu will be assigned as U.S. senior defense official/defense attaché, Russia, Moscow, Russia. Yu previously served as China branch chief, N5I1, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.

Rear Adm. Thomas E. Ishee will be assigned as director, global operations, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.  Ishee is currently serving as director, Undersea Warfare Division, N97, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C. 

Rear Adm. Peter G. Stamatopoulos will be assigned as commander, Naval Supply Systems Command; and chief of Supply Corps, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.  Stamatopoulos previously served as director of logistics, J-4, U.S. European Command, Stuttgart, Germany.

Rear Adm. (lower half) William J. Houston, selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as director, Undersea Warfare Division, N97, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.  Houston previously served as director, plans and operations, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Sixth Fleet; deputy commander, Sixth Fleet; and commander, Submarine Group Eight, Naples, Italy.

Markle, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), is currently serving as deputy commander, logistics, maintenance and industrial operations (NAVSEA 04), Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C.  Markle previously served as executive assistant, Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C.  

Capt. Elizabeth S. Okano, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as program executive officer for integrated warfare systems, Washington, D.C.  Okano is currently serving as executive assistant to the assistant secretary of the navy (research, development and acquisition), Washington, D.C.

Capt. Matthew N. Ott III, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as special assistant for audit readiness, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management and Comptroller), Washington, D.C.  Ott is currently serving as chief of staff, Naval Supply Systems Command, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Capt. Carlos A. Sardiello, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as director, joint/fleet operations, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia.  Sardiello is currently serving as commanding officer, USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), San Diego, California, and previously served as special assistant to commander, naval air forces/commander, naval air force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, California.

Capt. Derek A. Trinque, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), is currently serving as assistant commander for career management, PERS-4, Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tennessee.  Trinque previously served as director, Surface Warfare Officer Distribution Division (PERS 41), Millington, Tennessee.  

Capt. John A. Watkins, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as deputy commander, Tenth Fleet, Fort Meade, Maryland.  Watkins is currently serving as chief of staff, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/Tenth Fleet, Fort Meade, Maryland.

Capt. Thomas R. Williams II, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as director, global integration and engagement, N5I, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.  Williams previously served as executive assistant to the chief of naval operations, Washington, D.C.

The secretary of the Navy and chief of naval operations announced today the following assignments:

Rear Adm. (lower half) Stephen D. Barnett is currently serving as commander, Navy Region Northwest, Silverdale, Washington.  Barnett previously served as deputy commander, Navy Installations Command, Washington, D.C. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Christopher S. Gray will be assigned as commander, Navy Region Europe, Africa, Central; and commander, Maritime Air Forces, Naples, Italy.  Gray previously served as commander, Navy Region Northwest, Silverdale, Washington. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) John E. Gumbleton is currently serving as deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for Budget (FMB); and director, Fiscal Management Division, N82, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.  Gumbleton previously served as commander, Expeditionary Strike Group Three, San Diego, California. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Brendan R. McLane will be assigned as commander, Carrier Strike Group Ten, Norfolk, Virginia. McLane previously served as commander, Navy Recruiting Command, Millington, Tennessee. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Paul J. Schlise will be assigned as director, Surface Warfare Division, N96, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.  Schlise is currently serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group Ten, Norfolk, Virginia. 

Rear Adm. (lower half) Philip E. Sobeck is currently serving as commander, Expeditionary Strike Group Three, San Diego, California.  Sobeck previously served as director, 21st Century Sailor Office, N17, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Arlington, Virginia.

Rear Adm. (lower half) Dennis Velez is currently serving as commander, Navy Recruiting Command, Millington, Tennessee.  Velez previously served as senior military assistant, Office of the Secretary of the Navy, Washington, D.C.

Capt. Putnam H. Browne, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), is currently serving as director, 21st Century Sailor Office, N17, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Arlington, Virginia.  Browne previously served as executive assistant to the assistant secretary of the navy for manpower and reserve affairs, Washington, D.C.
